As with your application, once your interview has been completed, feedback on your interview assessment and application status will be available.

Appointability status and ranking

Once all scores for interviews for the region for which you are in contention have been verified and compiled, you will be informed by email in one of three ways:

  • you will be made an offer in accordance with your rank and preferences
  • you will be notified that your application is not appointable and will progress no further in the round
  • you will be notified that you are appointable but cannot be offered one of your programme preferences at that stage and so have been placed on the reserve list should higher ranked candidates reject their offer.

Interview scores

Within a week of offers commencing, feedback regarding your interview scores will be released to your Oriel account; this is expected to be around the time of the first offers deadline. This will include the scores awarded to your application form, scores at each of the interview stations, your 'raw' interview score, and your final, overall score.

At this time, a graph detailing the distribution of scores across all interviews in the round will be published to the document library on this website. This will include average scores and the ratio of appointable candidates.

You will be sent an email when this feedback is released.

Detailed feedback

Shortly after scores are released, and within a week of the first offers deadline, feedback of the interviewer comments from your interview will be emailed to all interviewed candidates.

Interviewers will be using tablets to score candidates and make notes and so this will be a word for word transcription of the comments written by each one.

In some cases you may be asked to provide some documentation to allow your application to progress. This can either be because:

  • You did not bring it to interview - in which case you will be told on the day what is required and when you must return it. In many cases there will be a form given to you clarifying this information.
  • It is an additional requirement not requested at interview - in which case you will be contacted to inform what it is, when it is required and where to send it. In most cases this will not apply prior to offer.

Regardless of why you are being asked to supply the document, it is very important that you meet the deadline required; failure to do so could result in your withdrawal or you being unable to take up a post.

You may be eligible to claim reasonable expenses for your travel to IMT interviews. Candidates must ensure that they travel to their interview in the most cost effective manner and claims must be submitted no later than 28 calendar days after the interview.
